We have assembled a roster of highly qualified, veteran forensic examiners who bring decades of specialized government and private laboratory experience to every case we handle.

Jay J. Dave – Founder & Principal Forensic Expert

SJ Laboratory was envisioned and established by Mr. Jay J. Dave, a highly respected name in the forensic community. With a deep academic background bridging pharmaceuticals and hard forensic science, Mr. Dave holds a D.Pharm from Saurashtra University, a B.Pharm from Gujarat University, and a prestigious M.Sc. in Forensic Science from the Department of Forensic Science at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.

To further hone his specialized skills, Mr. Dave underwent rigorous, elite training for document examination at the globally recognized Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Shimla, formerly known as the Government Examiner of Questioned Documents (GEQD).

With more than 9 years of active experience in the field, Mr. Dave has been frequently appointed directly as an expert by Courts of Law. He has successfully provided authoritative, scientific opinions in over 500 disputed document cases. His expertise spans across forged signature detection, erased writing recovery, and the handling of highly confidential digital instruments.

To ensure our analytical capabilities remain unmatched, SJ Laboratory is proud to have on board two of the most experienced forensic veterans from the state government sector. Their integration into our private practice allows us to offer government-level rigor with private-sector speed and confidentiality.

Mr. V. B. Bharvad

Serving as an Examiner and Technical Manager at Saroj Jagdish Forensics LLP, Mr. Bharvad brings an astonishing 28 years of extensive experience in the field of forensic science. He is a Retired Assistant Director from the Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS), Gandhinagar. During his nearly three-decade tenure with the government, Mr. Bharvad oversaw complex, high-profile investigations, validation activities, and the development of stringent forensic methodologies that we proudly utilize today.

Mr. P. K. Vasava

Also joining us as an Examiner and Technical Manager, Mr. Vasava brings a monumental 32 years of comprehensive forensic experience to our laboratory. Like his colleague, he too served as a distinguished Assistant Director at the Directorate of Forensic Science (DFS), Gandhinagar. With over three decades of scientific verification, modification, and direct examination experience, Mr. Vasava’s opinions carry immense authoritative weight in both civil and criminal litigation.
